The Emotion Test
Before you continue, please read the short descriptions of the 20 emotions you may encounter.
1. Amusement – the state of experiencing humorous, and usually entertaining events or situations.
2. Anger – a feeling of displeasure resulting from opposition, and usually showing itself in a desire to fight back.
3. Awe – an emotion marked by wonder and feelings of insignificance and reverence.
4. Contempt – a feeling of regarding someone or something as inferior, base, or worthless.
5. Contentment – a state of relaxation and peace.
6. Coyness – feelings of being flirtatiously shy or modest.
7. Desire – feelings of wanting or longing for something.
8. Disgust – marked by aversion to something that is highly distasteful.
9. Embarrassment – the feeling of discomfort resulting from one’s violation of a social norm.
10. Fear – an emotional response to a perceived threat, usually due to the anticipation of danger.
11. Happiness – a state of general well-being and enjoyment.
12. Interest – the feeling of having one’s attention captured, or of being temporarily fascinated by someone or something.
13. Pain – an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated with bodily damage.
14. Pride – having a high sense of one’s own self-worth.
15. Relief – feelings of having either a physical or psychological burden removed.
16. Sadness – feelings of grief, disadvantage, loss, and/or helplessness.
17. Shame – an emotion resulting from personal contemplations of inadequacy, dishonor, and/or disgrace.
18. Surprise – a brief emotional state resulting from an experience of unexpectedness.
19. Sympathy – feelings of compassion and empathy for another.
20. Triumph – an emotional state of celebrating a decisive victory over a difficult challenge.
